Desire without knowledge is not good, and whoever makes haste with his feet misses his way. (Pr 19:2 ESV)

Though he may blame God, what really ruins a man’s life?

A man’s own foolishness leads him astray, yet his heart rages against the Lord. (Pr 19:3 HCSB)

What kind of friends flock around wealth, and what kind abandon a poor person?

Wealth brings many friends, but a poor man is deserted by his friend. (Pr 19:4 ISV)

What are the natural consequences for a life or a business built on lies?

A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape. (Pr 19:5 KJV)

Who flocks around someone in any society with power?

Many will seek the favor of a noble man, And everyone is a friend to a man who gives gifts. (Pr 19:6 LSB)

How hard hearted are friends and family towards the poor?

All the brothers of a poor person hate him; How much more do his friends abandon him! He pursues them with words, but they are gone. (Pr 19:7 NASB)

A raging king roars like a lion; his favor is like the dew on the grass. (Pr 19:12 CEB)

What are foolish children and a quarreling spouse like to live with?

Foolish children bring disgrace to their fathers. A nagging wife goes on and on like the drip, drip, drip of the rain. (Pr 19:13 CEV)

Lazy people bury their hand in the bowl; they won’t even put it to their mouth. (Pr 19:24 CEB)

Does life teach even an arrogant fool, to be wiser? Does a person with wisdom learn from just a hint of correction?

Stupid fools learn good sense by seeing others punished; a sensible person learns by being corrected. (Pr 19:25 CEV)

What happens to those who abuse and evict their parents?

He who does violence to his father and chases away his mother is a son who brings shame and reproach. (Pr 19:26 ESV)

What happens to someone who thinks that they have outgrown listening to instruction?

If you stop listening to correction, my son, you will stray from the words of knowledge. (Pr 19:27 HCSB)

What kind of individual is a threat to the justice system in any society?

A corrupt witness mocks justice, and the wicked person feeds on iniquity. (Pr 19:28 ISV)

What do any wise lawmakers do to overcome those who would destroy justice?

Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools. (Pr 19:29 KJV)

What often happens to those who are truly wise in a corrupt society?

On account of this, behold, I am sending you prophets and wise men and scribes; some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will flog in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city (Mat 23:34 LSB)
